LS1 Fan Install
I just installed LS1 fans this weekend with Nelson harness and I have a question. I have a Wait4Me tune installed in my truck and I asked them to program the computer for use with stock thermostat. One fan will come on high when the A/C (defrost this time of year) comes on so I know that part works. I even hooked up that connector to the other fan with the same result. However, I have not had the other fan (non A/C) come on. It has been rather cold (40* outside temps). My truck runs the same temp as it always has with the stock clutch fan. Does this seem logical? Does anyone who uses Wait4Me know what temp the fans would come on for stock thermostat? What about any other tunes? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

you are saying, that if you started up and drove 5 miles in stop and go traffic it would never over heat? fan #1 would never come on?
If you have no way of getting temp answers(like a scanner or jesse on the phone) and it was me, I'd stay close to the house but I get on her a little bit to see if I could the temp to rise. Just me. You have a stock stat? that fan is probably set high, like 225 or so.

Whoa whoa, I never said that it never came on, but I can let my truck sit in my driveway for 20 minutes and the second fan will never come on.
I'm sure it has come on plenty while sitting in traffic, but I've never popped the hood to see the second fan running.
My temp settings are fan on at 205* and fans off at 200*. Normal temp with stock thermo is between 194-198*

Maybe I should rephrase. Right now no fans come on UNLESS I am using the defrost (cycles A/C compressor). You also need to understand that it has not gotten over 40* degrees outside since the install. According to my temp gage inside the truck, I am running at 197 at all times. I know the gage is not 100% accurate but it has not changed at all since the swap. If the fans do not come on until 205* then I can understand why they have not been on but I do not know for sure what the settings are. I have an e-mail in to Wait4Me but I was just wondering if anyone had an idea.
