Talking ls1 fan wiring schematic

Does anyone know how to wire ls1 fans. i want to use relays and all. i saw the nelson harness and i wasnt impressed. I was thinking I could build my own. would anyone have a schematic and what types of relays would be needed. Any help would be apreciated. later

i saw that you (snakeoiler) posted a thread with wiring schematics. Did they work or what did you use. your help would be appreciated.

Yes, they work. I have had both setups in the truck. I currently run the 3relay setup. Check my cardomain site (in sig) for a brief writeup and pics.

Just a note: I'm not using LS1 fans, but the concept is still the same.

Default Fan schematic

Awesome fan schematic, very helpful and will probably be cheaper than Nelson. I was definetily wanting to build my own but was going to have both fans come on at once. I like this way, looks and sounds way more stock and professional. What temp should i tell the fans to come on?

Thats how mine are set up. I have teh schematic somewhere but dont have a scanner. I have a few harnesses already made though. If you wnat one 2 or 3 relay, PM me. I just need to trim some wires and solder the fan connectors on and wire loom em.

Nice write up on the fan wiring. Any chance you could elaborate on the connection used for the AC turn on? I noticed that you said no wire splicing was done and haven't been able to track down how you would have made the connection at the fuse box without a splice of some kind... Is there an open spade connector or something that I'm not seeing???

Snake oiler, nice truck. Looks familiar Except I havent color matched my grille and front bumper cap yet. Good write up on the fans too.
