not a hard job at all. you also have to have the fans activated in the pcm. i think allen, or whatever tuner you use will do that for you without doing a full blown tune if thats what you want.

So whats the better fan setup ls1's 05's or FAL's? I am going to be doing the electric fan swap along with the engine swap.

i got fal's because i got a helluva deal on them and they look like they came on the truck from the factory. ls1's look good if you do it right and get the job done. i think you have to change radiators to the 34" if you switch over to the 05's.

05 is probably the most expensive
fal's are about middle priced
ls1 are cheapest and they all do the same exact thing.

In talking with Allen at Nelson Performance, the 05 set-up moves more air across the radiator. But as far as I can tell the wiring for the 3 are almost the same. (I am not greatly familar with the wiring though)

Yeah I know I would have to change radiators for the 05's but I need some good cooling. So between the ls1's and FAL's which one does its job better?

Remember "lefty loosie, righty tighty". When we did the install on my brothers truck we didn't know which way to hit the darn screw. That screw got the shiet beat out of. Eventually we found out that we were supposed to hit it to the other side.

Ok, not to hijack this thread again, lol. But does anybody have the installation instructions for the Nelson Harness? I ordered mine yesterday and got it in today, but with no instructions. I will try and call them, but lately they are hard to get a hold of. I also got one with the Manual override.
