Default ls1 fans and ASM's are bolted on

now if i could just get the y pipe cut and welded tonight and I would be good to go. Nelsons tune just cam in today also so its been xmas here

Its nice having that stock POS fan outta the way also!

headers went up like a breeze

what kind of brackets are good to make to hold the Ls1 fans up??

i used the stock brackets that the top can shroud thing bolted to. Just drilled 2 holes in the fans(1 each end up top) and bolted them down. Perfect tight fit

if you dont have those, then any thin metal/alumin would work fine im guessing

I am thinking of going with the ASM headers. Could you talk about the install? I am thinking I can do that myself and just run it down to the muffler shop to button up the cats and welding. Also, are those headers coated?

The fan install looks sweet looks pretty facotry. So did you notice alot of power out of these mods?

right now I dont have the y pipe hooked up so i cant really tell.. its so damn loud lol

I got the nelson tune, fans, and asm's all together but the truck feels like it picked up a hellova lot part throttle! I would hope to see 40hp outta the combo since I didnt have a tune for the 210/218 cam either

yes they are coated headers and install is pretty easy. Hardest part is getting the stock manifold off from the y pipe.
