Yep, guys have done it, and there will be gains, but that is about the oldest technology cam that you can get for an LS engine...it has lazy lobes and can be challenging to tune. Yes, it's inexpensive, but unless you're getting it for free, with free valve springs, I'd pass on it for one of the more proven performers, just my .02

Hey, FWIW, I haven't seen a "Hot Cam" thread in a long time...these threads used to pop up weekly!

what about an LS6 cam... will there be any gains with that?

i'm with budhayes. get a newer cam that's bigger, makes more power, and is better for your engine.

I don't think you will see much for gains with a LS2 cam. I would go with a LS6 cam at the least but you would be much happier with a tsp 220

I got the LS2 Cam & Springs for free, the Truck is my DD so I just want a nice suttle Cam to help it..I've thought about the LS6 Cam..it's a matter of finding a cheap one. I have HP Tuners & a Wideband to tune it with so that's not a problem.

Yea man I just about have it done..work has been slow due to the weather.

Interior is just about done, LS1 Fbody M6 Center Console is being used, and a 1995 V6 Fbody Gauge Cluster will be going in the stock Monte Bezel. I'll have a build thread on LS1Tech when it's finished. There is alot of mods in this old MCSS.
Everything is running & the car is wired, just have to finish the little stuff. It runs like a raped ape on crack..
