Default LS1 Intake Swap (Already Used Search)

Like the title says, I'm looking to start putting parts together for the swap. Picked up the LS1 manifold today. Now I'm trying to put together a list of the parts I'll need but would like some help from the people that know/have done the swap. I've already searched and read a few threads before it's mentioned to try the search feature but everything is so spread out I just want to get a list of everything together.

Here's what I got so far.....

Water pump poses a problem on the trucks....Can you use just an Fbody waterpump or do you need the bracket from speartech with the Fbody pump? Would it be easeir just to use the meziere electric pump for the Fbody?

Need new fuel rails...not sure if it's the 97-98 vette or different

Injectors....Taller injectors(fbody/vette)....what option do i have on them being plug and play?

Are electric fans a necessity to do the swap

Would the swap be made easier by just running all the brackets/pulleys from an Fbody?

That's the only things I can think of at the moment. TIA for the help.

Do a username search for both myself and "Kano" and search for "LS1 intake swap" and you'll have ALL the info you need....I've typed the answers to your questions at least 6 times in the last 3 months

Thanks for the input, but like I said.....I've already used search and read quite a bit of the posts about doing the swap. Particularly yours and "Kano's" which is why I asked the particular questions that I did in my first post. Everything is so all over the place in the posts I read I'm trying to get everything in one spot where I can make sure I understand it better.

theres so many ways to go about this
This is why I wrote my thread up as just sharing the experience
Ill do it again and answer based on my experience

1 big problem with the wp's is the pulley and outlet location

belt alignment is closer to the engine on the cars
so this leaves the belt hanging off the WP pulley edge using a car water pump and truck accesories

to get belt alignment I used a 97 vette wp and spaced the pulley out

98 up vettes and cars use a press on pulley
Ive heard of people pressing these off and on

speartech bkt will put your belt about center the outlet location of a car pump

*due to the TB being lower the outlet location with the truck WP will hit the TB
the cars outlet wont

2 not sure

3 97 98 vette is a return setup with vac regulator
all others are a returnless setup

4 car injectors and pigtails is prolly your best bet with the 97-98 fuel rails
the trk injectors are shorter

5 Im gonna say yes until I see someone do it with the clutch fan on there Do the fans even if you dont do the intake

6 YES

Will do. BTW, talking about using the entire accessory brackets from the Fbody for the ease of the conversion....do you think it would actually be cheaper than having to buy the adapter brackets and have the water pump changed to a 90* outlet?

no, I think all yelo did with his was cut the neck down and used a rubber 90
on the truck pump
along with the speartech bkt

cable driven can do this ...DBW cant.... but you have a cable

only thing i dont like about it is how close the belt comes to the TB
using the speartech and having 3 clamps and a splice on one hose

$$$wise I like it
and I dont think he had any probs with anything I listed above
Im sure he'd post if he did

check ebay and start adding up car accesories
It will be higher unless you find one hell of a deal

Yeah, I was thinking about going to a junkyard and pulling the parts off a wrecked fbody.

let me know if you run across an extra set of return style car rails
while you're out
