OK so I'll pick up a NNBS intake off a 5.3 tomorrow with flex fuel injectors. Is this not the same as TBSS intake? I think the injectors are 33 lb. Will I need more injector?

Anyone want to recommend a cam? I'm thinking BTR stage 2 or TSP stage 2 although I have been talking to Davinci too. I don't want a stall but I would like some lope.

Thanks for all the help

I would think 33's would be enough for a cammed 6.0 if you only ran pump gas.

TBSS and NNBS are the same thing. If the newer intake came with injectors, those should be large enough as well.

Induction side is complete. I ended up just getting a TTBS intake with 50lb injectors and got a new in the box GM gold blade 90mm TB. X link and injector harbess adapters are ordered.

I also ordered a BTR stage 2 cam. I think it will work with the new blue springs on the heads.

Project starts today I hope. I've got some work work to do but will begin removing this dead engine when done. I have already ordered all new sensors, headers, bolts and misc so I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

Wish me luck.

Picked up the new long block yesterday after watching them set lifter preload for 1.5hrs. I'm glad they did it for me as despite BTR saying their cam used stock pushrods, it did not. It will be going in this weekend and then I'll be looking for a tuner to fire it up.

Turns out the old motor spun 2 camshaft bearings. I was another mile or two from a complete failure and a boat anchor. All other bearings looked good as did cylinder walls, still cross hatched even.

I made a good call on this one.

If you look hard enough you can buy just about all of theses with 24 tooth reluctor, I went the route I did to save time by just swapping heads and then changed cams. The builder that got the long block for me had a fresh set of 243 on the shelf and swapped me past for part and free labor, so it cost me nothing.

LS3 intake will work but you'll have to run the car water pump (not sure about accessories)

The 50 lb/hr Flex injectors are 12613412 (L96) and are longer than LS3 injectors and are 0.036 smaller in diameter where they fit into the intake. May as well sell the TBSS intake & injectors if going with a LS3 intake. Why not buy the rectangular truck intake and rails (rails are different than TBSS rails) (LY6) (L96) for the LS3 engine? Then at least you can keep the injectors, water pump & accessories.

Does this LS364/450 engine come with dished pistons or flat tops?
Start up does sound good, best of luck.
