LS6 5.7L into a 05 tahoe
i was woundering is it possible to put a Chevy LS6 (5.7L, V-8 engine, 346 c.i.d., 405 h.p. @ 6000 rpm, 99 bore, 92 stroke,10.5:1 compression ratio) into my 5.3L chevy tahoe? reason being is i found more ls6 motors cheaper then a radix magnacharger tvs1900 and i would rather get a motor then a sc for the price... what do think?
thanks,

That's about the easiest swap there is. I'm putting an LS6 in my 00 pickup using the truck intake, a 212/ 218 cam, 8.1 injectors, and truck accessories. Easy 450hp. The blocks are identical. You might want to research when they changed the reluctor wheel teeth, cuz that will screw everything up. I'm pretty sure they are the same- 24 tooth
You will need a tune, or a tuner. I got a HP tuner that's really nice to use so far and kinda fun. You don't want to know how cheap I got my engine ('04 Cad CTSV)
Nevermind the tune, I see you have one

just buy both of them and have the fastest taho ever. Then get you a LS1 installers guide should have all the info you need. This will be a nice swap there is no replacement for displacement plus your getting rid of a little weight in that heavy *** truck. If i was you i would throw a cam in there before i droped that engine in.
