The power difference for the truck vs vette intake is minimal, however the truck intake will make more torque. The vette coils have zero advantage.

i didnt mean the coils i meant the injectors...has to have an advantage...if it has to be tuned might as well tune it to where i get the most power. is there a tuner out there like a plug and play where i can do it all myself...or does it need to be dyno tuned?

I put a 04 Z06 LS6 in my 99 ecsb. You'll need a Speartech idler pulley relocation bracket about $85.00, I used a water pump for a 07 NNBS think part # 12600767 about $150.00, it cleared my dirve by cable TB and a top raditaor hose off an 07 NNBS part # 19130027 about $52.00. I used the stock fuel rails off a 04 Z06, and an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator with a return line and 42lb car style injectors and installed car style injector plugs in to my wiring harness. Installed a set of Dynatech SuperMaxx #115-841300, 1-7/8" headers. While i had the motor out i pulled my wiring harness out and shortened and lengthened all the connectors so i could route it around the back of the motor much cleaner install. Installed a set of electric fans off an f-body with a nelson wiring harness and relays. I tune with EFI Live i had to change my PCM's operating system to a 2002 operating system, i used PCM 12212156 operating system. If you need any advice are part numbers i have a file full of reciepts and notes, i would be more than happy to share. PM me and i'll give you my number. Good Luck.

Here's a picture with the water pump, fuel rails and injectors installed.

Default Complete newbie to motor swaps I've done so much research I'm more confused now

So I'm new here and have read this post about 100 times but not 100 percent sure if I fully understand as this is my first time really doing anything like this. I'm putting a 02 z06 motor into a 2003 silverado and I'm stumped at the accessories drive here. I have the ac pump on the frame rail the alternator from Corvette won't fit the truck bracket the wire going to truck alternator is different plug corvette 4 wire truck 2 wire I have plenty of access to junk yard parts any info is greatly appreciated. I am looking to get this running asap and can't go anyfurther until I figure this out.

Nick, if you are using the car intake manifold and a drive by cable throttle body, you are probably going to need the water pump and for sure going to need an idler relocation bracket that bad boyz racing mentioned in post #13. The reason is, the car manifold is much lower profile than the truck version so you need to move the upper radiator hose and accessory drive belt out of the way for it to fit. Other than that, the truck ac bracket and compressor along with the truck ps pump, alternator and bracket should be reused.

Start a new thread. I'm sure you will have plenty of questions about it along the way, and it will be better for everyone to follow YOUR thread. OP was only here long enough to make this thread, and I think it was BS from the start.
