He didnt know there was a problem bolting on the LS6 heads on the 5.3,you didnt either.Someone else addressed it.I made a suggestion to get the most bang for the buck and for the same money overal what would cost to port heads.So lets see if Big tex agrees with me before he bans you and your bad attitude from the forum.

Bands me? I play in a band? Or did you mean..BAN? Bad attitude? Not hardly, just trying to help you along there Gonzo, you are with your post, and that is what I am trying to point out. If that hurts your feelings, I am sorry The point of a message forum is to get help...ask a question, looking for an answer. You seem to offer opinions on subject matter that is not asked by the thread starter, why???????

I did not know there was a problem bolting on the LS6 head? Then why did I say not to do it? Because it would not help this guy, I clearly stated that....man can you read? If you want more specifics, the LS6 head has a larger combustion chamber then the 5.3 head, so ANY gain in flow that you may see with the LS6 would be offset by the loss in compression, and in doing so, lose power, or roughtly be the same, so for the $$$$$ there is no reason to do it, and I stated it my above post. You could always shave the LS6 head to reduce combustion chamber size to bring compression back up...
