I guess you guys haven't heard of Jay.
He's a real good 'hod-rod' guy that's been been doing alot for us, for many years, finding, designing, & building some neat stuff.

He has good contacts in the business, with his family run dealership, Jay Fisher Pontiac.

Lets give him a chance to explain how this works.
After all, 8-10 sets have been installed on cars at their dealership.
I really don't think that they would be installing them, if they haven't talked to their engineering contacts at GM.

I've also emailed the 6-7 guys that have bought these from him on ebay, to see if any have installed them yet.

I myself think that maybe they're putting 'lash-caps' , on the valves to increase the contact surface area.

PM sent re: BIN

Anyway, I'd be interested in hearing how he gets them to work based on what we've seen in this thread. Keep us updated.

I got one response back from a guy that got these LS7 rockers from Jay.

I am currenlty in the process of installing them along with my LS6 head
swap..only have the passenger side done currenlty, but when I spin the
motor by hand, everything seems fine to me..this was on a 98 Trans Am
(LS1).
When the valve is closed, the tip of the rockers are nicely over the
stem (towards the bottom)...when the valve is open, the rocker tip moves
toward the center of the stem...looks like they should be fine with no
valve cover issues (unlike aftermarket 1.8 rockers)

For what it's worth, I've mocked up my LS7 rockers on my spare 5.3 heads (that are getting 2.08/1.60 valve and full port job) and the rockers line up better than the ones pictured in this thread.

Interesting.... can you describe "better" or give some pics. Are the heads still stock?
