You can do that. The LSX doesnt really have a big gain by itself.

i'd save that mod for when you are looking for the last little bit of power.

I'm really considering the swap, because I feel the power is falling off in the upper rpms.....yet I don't think it should be leveling off or falling off with this particular cam. I can stand to lose a little down low to make up for it in the higher rpms.

SlowProcess,

Take a look at these flow figures:
Head: Ported LS1**
Intake:LS1-Truck-LS6
Lift-LS1-Truck-LS6
0.2 141 163 166
0.3 185 206 211
0.35 205 224 229
0.4 222 237 244
0.45 232 249 257
0.5 241 262 269
0.55 251 265 277
0.6 258 270 283

Here is a comparo of the LS6 and FAST manifold:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showpost....9&postcount=48

At .6'' valve lift, you are looking at a 13cfm gain from the Truck
to LS6 swap and then a 14cfm gain from the LS6
to FAST manifold. You can probably tell that .6'' is not the only lift value where you will net flow.

Here is a dyno graph of a LS1 to LS6 swap:
http://www.ls1howto.com/howto/geniii...ph-1-15-01.jpg

Using the above flow figures that is a 25cfm gain
from the LS1 to LS6 swap @ .6''.

My analysis... DO THE SWAP
FAST 90mm opening and a 90mm NW throttle body.
You will get what you are looking for.

Dam good TB too. Just a nicer unit compared to the FAST TB. Smoother inside too.

I talked to my buddy at Thunder racing and he is currently building his LS1...i asked him about the intake and he said i would be better w/ the LS6 manifold...the fast is better for making power as the last thing you do! sooo i guess its the LS6 for me!

LS6 intake isnt kind on low end. Keep in mind you have a heavy Hoe.

There are a few things you are gonna have to do to install that intake. It sits the TB out farther and I think belt routing has to change. Fuel rail mounts on the intake sit higher also I think, to accept the longer LS1/6 injectors. I think somebody mentioned once that the water pump has to be swapped too.
