LT1 swap into 93 silverado

I want to swap an LT1 in place of the tbi 350. I know the motor will bolt up to the trans but what about the computer and shifting. Would it be easier to put a manual five speed in place of the auto? Could I use the computer from the LT1 and plug it up to the trans? What other electrical problems will there be if I use the LT1 computer? Would it be easier to use wiring harness from LT1 or original truck harness? Thanks for the info.

probably be better off asking this in the LT1 forum. But i'd assume as long as the trans is the same (Say 4L60E between the two) that you wont need a new trans, just the computer setup. I also doubt the TBI harness and wiring will work being they're two different systems entirely.
Best bet if you pull the LT1 from a wrecked car that has everything, go ahead and get the wiring harness, fuel rails and just about everything you possibly can get your hands on to possibly save yourself time, money and headache later on.
