I'm not a 'Magnaflow guy', I'm a guy who ran a crappy Flowmaster for a year, then finally listened to the 53rd guy who told me they were crap and swapped it out for a muffler that actually flows (unlike the horribly misnamed 'Flowmaster'). My performance went up as a result.

Have you ever seen the inside of a Flowmaster muffler? It has to be difficult for air to get out of there. The 40 series is admittedly the best of the worst, but it still has impediments to flow.

But it sure sounds cool, right!? If you don't mind exchanging performance for what some consider a 'better' sound, then by all means, enjoy your Flowmaster.

It just seems counterproductive to go through all that trouble for good flow and still keep this muffler in there....

Thanks for the header post. I am deffinently going to be purchasing a set of these in the future. Would it be difficult to weld in my stock cats or some after market ones?

Any Magnaflow muffler (other than the XL Turbo, which is a chambered design) is straight-through and would be a good choice. The only criteria or variable to determine muffler case size/length would be sound quality or decibel level (smaller diameter and shorter length = louder, etc.).

1TrueSS you have one badass truck thats for sure. Awesome vids too by the way. If I didn't need my truck for a daily driver I would copy cat your T56 swap coupled with a heads/cam combo. That's got to be one fun truck to drive!!!!!
