Default LT's with what exhaust setup.

Want to see if i can get some imput on my exhaust setup. Im going to be buying a set of LT's probably Pacesetters and wanna know if i should spend them money on the off road Y to hook up to my already 3 inch exhast or spend the money and have true duels ran. which would have the better performance gains. Its pretty much a bolt on 5.3 that i may run Nitrous later on.

I would install the headers first and see how it sounds. The OE exhaust flows pretty well and you might not want to change it. I am currently running my stock exhaust with AR Headers with cats and it is the best sounding exhaust system available. (to me anyway) Everyone that hears it loves the sound.

For a bolt on 5.3, a single 3" cat back will more than suffice...you could throw an electric cut out in there after the Y and have the best of both worlds

If you're planning on more cubes or a big cam/head combo, the dual 2.5 would be nice, but not completely necessary. I really want to run dual 2.5's for my LQ9 (eventually), but since I'm on a tight budget I'm going to stick with the single 3"/DMH electric cutout/18" Magnaflow/dumped after axle, for now.

Thanks for the Vid's nice sounding and looking truck. I kind of thought that to with the smaller cubes the 3 inch cat back would be better maybe switch to like a flow through muffler instead of the flowmaster that i have on it???? Would the cutout make that big of a difference or would it be for more like just sound?

I got obx lt's and a xpipe with true duals. 2 1/2inch dumped at the axle with two bullets. I ran my factory muffler for the first year I had my headers on. Liked they way it sounded but needed something that flowed a lil more! But I personaly believe in true duals call me old fashion! Hahaha but that's what I would do. Not a big fan of single
