Default ly6 vs l92

so whats the deal with these things.. why is a used l92 (6.2L) twice the price of a used ly6 (6.0L)? from what i see spec wise they have just about everything the same except the l92 has the bigger bore. stock they are around 40hp more which i cant see the .2L difference making that but comp is the same. maybe a bigger stock cam in the l92? anyway it seems you cant touch a used l92 for under 3k where as you can buy a brand new complete, manifolds, coil packs ext, ly6 for 2700.

anyone got any incite to this? id like to do the swap one day and the ly6 seems like the better deal to me.

because the ly6 comes out of a lowly work truck. Also, the l92 is aluminum block. Ly6 is also 9.6:1 compression versus 10.5:1 for the l92.

alright i thought compression was the same for both. that makes some sense. forgot about the alum block too. so the l76 would be pretty much a ly6 but in aluminum block. anyone know what compression would be yielded milling the heads say .040?

the l76 has compression like the l92.

I would just swap the ly6 and turbo it. lol.
