SportSide 5.3...

Realize the only free mod I endorse is air box hacking as it ACTUALLY does something...the rest dont' do a damned thing...

I think the TB bypass would do something as far as helping with heat soak. I don't think there is a chance in hell the TB would get up to 200* without coolant in it.

The egr mod doesn't do anything? I mean it looks like it really gets in the way. I'd do it on mine if I needed to.

The EEGR mod would prolly help some too .. it won't in your case though cause you don't have one.

02 and up they stopped putting EGR's in them. I don't think any of the 6's have them, not sure on that one though.

We had the chief engineer for the Z06 engine at our Corvette Club meeting and the question about the descreened MAF was brought up. On a 385 HP Z06 you can gain almost 2HP at 6500 rpm's by taking out the screens. He was not sure on the truck as he never dyno'ed that engine w/o a screen. However, he felt the truck engine was engineered to use the screen where the vette could be calibrated to run w/o it. Something about the location of the MAF to the intake manifold. FWIW.

yes sir unless it is tuned in and calibrated it doesnt do much. even after you remove the screen it is not a coonsistent gain in power due to the fluctuations.
