Default MAF Operation

Can anyone the MAF sensor works. Does it use a known temperature within itself and compare it to incoming air temp?

Yes GM uses whats called a Hot Wire MAF. It measures the density of the air by how much energy is needed to heat a wire to a specific temp. (That is a big oversimplification)

Post up a link to the info you found..
