I was looking at the Magnaflow mufflers and seen the round ones. Are the 4" round 14" magnaflows louder than the regular 14" case magnaflows?

Ive got the 6" round 14" case 3" I/O and it sounds good..

Ive put this muffler on couple of my buddies trucks with Cats and it sounds great... Its not obnixous, loud or anything.. its got a great tone.

Yes - they do not remove much sound. These little ones work better as resonators to remove more of the high-pitched sounds and resonation pulses and let the rumble pass on through. I have a pair of the 4" rounds ones in the back right before the tailpipes as resonators.

I had a regular 14" magnaflow but I want something a little louder. I was hoping the 4" round 14" was louder than the regular oval 14"

I also seen a regular 4"x9" case thats 11" long. Dont know which one to get I want a louder magnaflow. Give me your opinions?
Magnaflow 4"x9" case 11" long or
Magnaflow 4" round case 14" long

Which is going to be louder out of the two?

The 4" round case is louder. As your only muffler it would be considered "race". It will take out some of the rasp and higher pitched sounds but the full force of the exhaust pulsation (deep tones) will blow right on through.

I need to know the same thing don't mean to steal you thread but I want a magnaflow muffler thats not loud which one should I get? thanks guys

The 4" Round case muffler, by itself, will be f'in LOUD. It doesn't sound like a typical magnaflow muffler, it sounds more like a race pack. It will be loud as hell. Call 'em up and ask. I don't know how else to explain.
The larger the resonating volume is of the "can" the quieter the exhaust will sound. Therefore, if you want quiet go big with small pipe. If you want loud use the small case (4" Round) and big pipe.

Just yesterday I put on the 5"x8" center/offset oval 24" long Magnaflow in place of my stock muffler. With my OBX LTs and ORY, the muffler is surprisingly quiet for a muffler that you can see straight through. The bend is ever so slight but just enough that the length takes a LOT of the sound out. Just deep and smooth.
