The system:
Long tube headers with no cats
H-pipe(because it makes more power than an x-pipe below 6k rpms on dyno comparisons)
True Dual 3" exhaust
Dumped at the rear bumper

Muffler question:
Is a 14" muffler casing too loud/loose the depth of a muscle car sound?

Would a 18" be better for my purpose?

The engine is a modified 383 GEN I engine.

 

IMO, I'd do the longer case, it'll still be plenty loud for you...

 

At the moment, I have a Corsa Sport 6.0L muffler on the truck and that's loud enough....I want it a little quieter at WOT but a lot deeper. I was thinking I would need 18" case. But didn't know because of going from 1 muffler to 2. I had true dual Aerochambers on 2.5" pipe and a x-pipe about 4 years ago and that sounded good but I want stainless steel mufflers to match my stainless steel pipes.

 

Bump for other opinions or if you have a different muffler in mind.
