Default Magnaflow Muffler w/Cats?

Hey all you guys that say "my Magnaflow is too loud or raspy"....are you running Cats?

If you are running a Magnaflow exhaust set-up.....please list if you are running cats, no-cats, cut outs, and especially which Magnaflow muffler you use.

I'll try a Maganflow if I ever find a loud one! So far, running gutted cats, no Magnaflow has been exactly loud enough for me.

The size of the Magnaflow plays a huge part in the sound of the exhaust. I have a 4x9x14 3" in/out and it is about as loud as my 3 chamber flowmaster i previosly had. The magnaflow is indeed raspy, especially when cold. I had cats with both set ups and minimal drone inside the cab.

If you want something loud, go to the round magnaflow mufflers with no cats, that will be loud.

I had a big magna dual 3" in / single 4" out without cats. It was raspy, but my Radix really loved it. I think cats would have cut down some of my raspy sound, but the tone would still have been pretty deep. I think that a smaller more restrictive version would cut down the sound.

I have a 5x11x22 3in 3out and it is quiet. Can only hear it with some throttle and barely on the highway. Not raspy at all.

This is just the muffler on stock 5.3.

I have stock cats and 2 of these bad boys:

It is a true dual set up and exits in front of the right rear tire through 3.5" tips. ITS LOUD!
