I've had 3 Magnaflows, and they always get louder after a few weeks. Magnaflow might say this won't happen, but it does.

dude, dont blow money on removing one of them now...they will get louder with time and shortly with the longtubes. Put on the long tubes first and see how you like them...if still too quiet then i guess pay to remove one of them. Good luck, rob.

Don't tell me this, I just ordered a 3" cutout dump pipe that I am going to install after the y-pipe and gutted cats, before the muffler...I've always liked the open exhaust sound, but it's usually been open headers, not an open 3" pipe...

They get louder, just put some miles on them so the packing "breaks in." When I first installed the 14" muffler I thought it was way too quiet, now it's almost too loud. Just give them several hundred miles, install the LT's, then decide.

might want to actually put the headers on before you try to kill the rasp they cause.

Well open y thru the stock manifolds and stock cats and stock y dont sound bad at all, actually has the same tone just a bit louder than my old 50 series flowmaster.. Now when you cut the cats and install headers it gets raspy and the sound is more raw. Never was a big fan of that. Just my opinion tho

I have LT's too...I've always liked the sound of open headers myself, I guess time will tell
