Default Magnaflow is twisting my arm!

I posted this over at SilveradoSS.com but thought you guys might like it too.

I have been pretty happy with the stock exhaust, but Magnaflow is twisting my arm, forcing me to let them test fit a "new improved" cat back system for the SS. I guess I can't go wrong. If I like it, I can keep it for free!. If I don't like it, I can keep the exhaust and put my stock system back. But if it is quiet enough on the highway, and flows better...
The only downside, I have to drive a Ford rental car for a couple days

Those guys at MagnaFlow know the right exhaust sound to get your heart beating faster !!! Sounds very cool just reving it in park. So far, I would say, it makes more noise, but mostly when you are stepping on it. On the highway, there is some more noise, but no annoying drone. I can feel some of the extra noise through my feet on the floor and on the pedal. As I drive it around the next few days, I will get to decide if it is too loud for my tastes and if it offers any improvment in performance.

Nice tip

Looks like it will still bang on my anti-sway bar bracket a bit.

The guys at Magnaflow are champs. Tell Brandon and Richard I said hi. They hooked me up with an awesome exhaust

I had flowmasters, and I LOVE the magnaflow. Still beefy sound but not overpowering. And I definitly picked up some lowend with their catback.

Rich and Brandon are stand up guys

That looks good. Do you know the price?

What sway bar is that there? I didn't even consider those issues with my current exhaust. I'll have to see how it fits.

im confused(not anything new) but you have two resonators and a muffler. how does that work. i thought what you are calling resonators, were the mufflers.

Is there any way you can get some sound clips? It doesnt look like it would be all that loud with cats, resonators, and that large muffler.

I don't know the price.

The sway bar is a Hellwig. It interfered with the stock exhaust too. I guess the SS has a bit different position than a regular Silverado.

The two resonators (that is what they called em) are for reducing highway "drone". It seems to have worked well. I get a nice rumble on the highway, but no drone.

I will see if I can make a recording of it to post.

Sweet! I think I need a set of those resonators to put before my flopro muffler. Thats looks like a good system.

I understand the 6.0s will drone big time at highway speeds if there isn't a resonator or something to help it. That must be why the stock exhaust has that built in resonator on the exit. I can still hear a little drone around 2200 rpm with my stocker.

Looks good!

My B&B is pretty resonance free... it gets a little more angry between 1,800-2,200, but it's not intrusive at all. A little TOO quiet for me at times.
