It should work. Blocks have same physical dimensions. Before you try it, make sure you have an idea what you want youe accessory belt to do. The waterpump pulley looks to be a key component to the belt routing.

The belt will need to ride on the bottom of the water pump pulley and then be routed to drive the rest of the accessories. To do that though the idler pulley up above the water pump needs to be relocated down below the alternator. That means some sort of bracket needs to be fabbed to relocate it. That would be the easiest way to do it. I've looked at it and it will work with a longer belt, relocated idler, and a new upper rad hose. The Fbody hose might work if you have a 28" core radiator but, if you have the 34" core radiator I think a flexible stainless covered rubber hose is the best bet. It'll have to be about 48" long to follow the stock hose path.

Take a look at your cars belt path to get an idea of what will need to be done.

I'll snap a picture tomorrow of a new belt route and just where the idler would need to be moved to.

If you move the idler, it would be an easy swap to an LS6 intake. If you can get it done, I'll do it too.

I've got measurements just need to get some materials. Kinda thinking about doing this instead of switching all the freaking Fbody brackets I just bought. I didn't really look into it until I had the brackets though.

A new belt around ~99-100" will be needed for the new routing depending where the idler is put exactly.

Smoke ur 5.0 brought up a good point that the Meziere doesn't have all the mounting points for the stock truck tensioner either.

Fbody brackets may be the easiest way afterall.

if we do go with an LS6 intake manifold will there be any problems with the length of the throttle cables since they will be lower down? and what about all the damn wires on top of the truck manifold, where would they go? and we could just use an LS6 fuel rail with our stock harness right?

I don't think the throttle cables will be a problem since they snap in to a bracket that spaces them the right distance from the TB linkage. The rest of the cable doesn't matter. The wires would have to rest on top of the manifold like they do on the truck unless you wanted to get real crazy and pull that wiring all apart and reroute it.

The '97 vette rail is what you'll have to use. It has a return line and a manifold referenced regulator like the trucks. I'm not sure why GM changed the fuel system in later years, this is a good setup. Now, if you switch over to this rail this would be the time to upgrade to Fbody injectors. The only thing you'd have to do is splice on new connectors, THAT'S IT. If you kept the truck injectors you'd have to bend the new rail to fit them and I'm not sure that's possible since the crossover pretty much rest on the top of the manifold already.

The 97 C5 crossover rail has about 5/8 inch space above the manifold, just enough to make the truck injectors fit. You'll need to modify the rail mounts to allow it to sink 5/8ths lower.

One other thought - Use truck injectors with the NX direct port nozzle system and it would be a close fit to the stock Bosch injector height.
