Default mid-low 12s na??

im helping out a friend of mine he just got a 01 silverado rcsb performabuilt trans, 2800 yank converter, 4.10s locker, ls6 cam, 80mm tbody, aem intake, ls1 fans, shorty headers, true duals x-pipe, judging by some srteet runs around 13.0-13.2 were trying for mid -lower 12's. would a tr220 cam do the trick? most of the trucks ive seen with around those times had the 220 cam.

you got the gears and the trans right, now get the stall and the cam

226 with a 581 lift and a nice 34-3600 stall

i take it this is with a 5.3?

so the trucks i see with 220 cams runin 12.50's n 12.40's are just rare freaks, cause there isnt many of them? how about the 223/225 cam ive seen a few of those trucks run pretty decent?

220/220 cam is perfect for a 5.3 and way better then an ls6 cam.

I'd think that a TR220, long tubes and free flowing exhaust, and a spot on tune would be the missing pieces to the puzzle. If not, some headwork should definitely help dip into the low 12's. Is the converter a true 2800, or closer to 3k? 3-3200 would be a little better IMO. He'll need traction too...
