Default misfires after cam install?

Ok we put a tr220 112lsa in my truck. its not tuned yet but I drove it the other night just to see what it would do and it ran like **** (to be expected) and the engine light was just flashing meaning misfiring. Is this normal. You can crank it up and it will idle when cold and warm but after you give it gas it goes dead. My tune should be here tomorrow or friday but I was wondering if this is gunna fix my problem or if I have another one? We lined everything up like its suppost to be so idunno but tha misfiring just kinda has me worried but I may be jumping the gun

Just wait for your tune, that should do it.

Yeah its common. Unless you got all crazy and cracked a plug.

But usually random missfires has to be toned down in the tune IIRC.

Oooh, Vette plugs add 5 hp.

Or is it 10?

J/K, things should improve for you after the tune. The fuel AND spark curves will have to be completely different from stock to idle and run properly, that's why it runs like crap right now. Also, misfire diagnostics will get modified in the tune. Best not to run the truck at all until the tune, especially if you have cats still.
