Doesn't matter, even if the fuel pump is the culprit you're still gonna be slow with a high reving cam, high gears, and stock converter, and crappy shift points. LOL

All these guys giving you advice are correct. Look through the posts and you'll see a common theme. Maybe your truck is suffering from a maintenance problem but with mismatched parts it will never be as quick as it could be.

Listen to them and mod accordingly. They didn't get this fast by being dumb.

I am listening.
Before I go any further... I needa get that fuel pump taken care of. What do you think about the load whine I was talking about. I mean, I leave it running, open the door, step out, and I hear a loud shreik.

I was planning some nitrous one b/c I thought it would be fun and two b/c I thought it would be easier to install. Now I'm almsot convinced the stall will be better. I'm thinking the TCI streetfighter. I think if I could jump out of the hole I'ld be in better shape. It does kinda take off slow. Well hell... it does everything slow.

Tiger fan: any track times?

Alright.... assuming something isn't completely F***ed with my truck, I guess this is my new plan... in this order:
93 octane Tune (ordering Wendesday if I don't have to buy an expensive fuel pump), TCI StreetFighter (opinions on this plz) , Eaton Positrac (opinions on this plz), 75-100 shot wet kit, and if needed.... some nittos

Thats what -- another 1700 dollars? Not too bad.

Sorry if I came off mean my friend, I am dealing with an issue on my club board and don't mean my attitude to come across here.

As for the whine, it could be the pump going bad. It was notorious in the older GM trucks for the pump to go out thats for sure. if you plan on doing nitrous or other serious mobs maybe you should replace it with a higher volume Racetronics unit if it is indeed going bad. Saves a lot of hastle in the futre

I'm looking at one over @ truckperformance.com called a Venom that is suppose to flow 10% over stock. It's $180. Almost $200 cheaper than the oem spec/style Advance Auto Parts has. What do you guys think of that?

And thansk again for all this help!

.....That would be funny to me if it was some1 else's truck getting whipped.

I was j/w if those eaton LSD come with the gears in them? And which one would I get for my truck? What all is involved and what additional parts do you need?

Im definately not going to be confused with a soccer mom, but I did leave a high school kid in an older LT1 camaro with a tonight!!!
Back to the point. Stick to your plan and you'll see some great results. You cant expect half the results from half the mods. They build upon one another. Stick it out. Its worth it in the end.
