Cash - I don't know why, maybe my alternator is going bad or something but, if I sit in traffic for a long period of time(1+hrs was the last traffic back up) my needle starts to get lower and lower. It never really has dropped below ~12 volts but, since it usually sits above 14 it kinda gets scary.
I think I'm going to raise my idle a bit and see what that does.
I guess saying that it'll kill the battery was a little bit overboard.
I checked today and my fans come on at 185. That's fine with me as it doesn't keep them running when sitting in traffic. On the highway they never come on since the truck stays so cool.
