im just saying....its the same with our trucks and thats gearing comes in to play. The hemi's had some bad gearing choices as well.

Like mentioned above stock stall is 1600-1700. I have the TB I6 stall which is about 2600 and my truck is 4x4 with 3.42's. It is very streetable for a DD and I can spin the tires good from a dead stop. It's nothing spectacular but way better then stock. A good tune makes all the difference.

what will a stall do to my tranny i have 100k miles and i dont want to blow my tranny anytime soon. The TB I6 is that the stock trailblazer stall? also are Stall hard to put on. is it something i could do my self with jackstands and tools. another thing what would a good TB stall cost? i only have like 300 of free spending cash right know so i was just wondering.
thanks again for all input
p.s i raced my friends mega cab hemi and smoked him all three times i raced him. just did it about an hour ago. but he does have alot more weight then i do with the heavy truck and the heavy engine. he also said his is a 1500 i did not think they did megacab in a 1500 but i dont know much about the new dodge i have always been a chevy fan. specialy after driving that slow 5.9 magnum

Changing a converter is a pretty straight forward process. Drop the trans enough to slide the old one out and the new one back on then reassemble.

If you dont want to yourself, its only a few hours labor.

GOOD stalls range from $500-$1000, and its not a part you want to cheap out on. They dont harm the trans, but it is wise to add a bigger cooler anyway.

Yes a TB I6 stall is a stock GM Trailblazer stall with the I6 engine. Call your local trans shops, you will be surprised what they can get and sell you. I bought a new TB I6 stall for $100. A stall converter can be tricky to install, if not sure what your doing have it installed. As for beating Dodge hemi's, I have raced a few and mod for mod or even stock for stock it is close but at higher speeds I have always pulled on all the ones I have raced.
