So you have to stay full throttle for a full minute before PE?

yep find you a stock 2500 6.0 tune. when we first started the dyno tuning it took us a while to find that one out. its a 25-30 hp gain too

PE= Performance Enrichment. It's what takes your air/fuel from 14.7 down to 12 or so for more power.

I was told GM did the delay in the 6.0 and 8.1 to de-rate them and try to help with fuel mileage.

also when it does go into PE, the commanded AFR changes and it adds in timing by the way of B5908, IMO that is where the power comes in not from the AFR mixture but from the added timing due to the AFR mixture

your most aggressive tune, will have to be very well calibrated, to add the last ounce of timing possible before detonation.. not good for longevity of a engine. i would say atleast 93 or racing octane is required for this calibration. lots of timing with the perfect AFR at all maps etc.. good luck

old but why reinvent the wheels what would be better to run 12.0-12.5 afr and 16 timing or 11.5 afr 18deg? which would give more power no dyno? just want some thoughts.
