well i figured something was wrong when he said that this: http://www.thunderracing.com/custome...cid=36&x=8&y=8 is a complete lie, and that no one in their right mind can run a "cam-only" vehicle and get past mid 12's

edit: forgot that he told me to not get a 4-link as i dont need that much traction, and that the slightest adjustment could throw me off (forgetting that mustangs have it and people are great with getting them to work extremely well for them)

oh i dont doubt it, but like when I say "ok these guys are running these big cams with bolt on's only" his response is "well thats not you, it wont work for you" and he still hasnt told me why it wouldnt work for me, so im pretty much fed up, most of those guys on that forum arent really educated i guess, im only 17 and im still on my learning curve, but it seems like forums that have most people who actually care about the questions you ask and will give you an educated response are the best places to be, and as far as i see, s10forum isnt really a place like that, so yea, but thanks to everyone, ill keep you all updated on the project, i still have to find a cool sounding exhaust, i have a video of a camaro with i think the coolest sounding exhaust i ever did hear, but he doesnt have the exhaust listed

My cam-only LS1 runs 13.1 @ 107. In a 4500-pound fullsize truck. And, it's a "small" cam compared to what most people run these days (TR224). Add the NX MAF kit, and it runs 11.57 @ 118. Feel free to post the video if you'd like.

had a buddy with a 224 cam run 11.8, cut a 1.57 60' with just cam, headers, tune, 323 gears, suspension, 4k stall, MT street Drs. almost full weight 00 TA

your times and mph seem slow for a cammed car rather alone a stock one. i seen mph of 108 out of stock motor ls1s and those times out of stock motor also

i cant get the video to upload to putfile right now, i cant send it via e-mail if youd like, btw, your truck is BAD-***, I love it! those times are amazing for that truck, did those caltracs help? im still debating on 4-link or not

EDIT: any idea (if i get traction) if ill hit my mid 12's mark with this entire setup?
oh and something really funny, the guy who told me that there is no way you could run a cam only setup especially with this cam, told me to do research on this forum, and without realizing i was I actually came here before he referred me... kinda funny i think
got the exhaust link to work, any ideas?:

That Cam Is Not Too Big In A 6.0. My Buddie Has A 239/242-594/602/113lsa with a vig3200 In A Cam Only Camaro And Ran A 11.98@113 Pulling A 1.79 60' On Sumitomo 315/35/17's. A Cam That Size Will Be Fine In A 6.0.... A 4 Link Will Definetly Compliment It Also.....

yeah i helped my buddy put that magic stick cam in his cam only '68 LS1 camaro and he ran a 12.1 on bf goodrich radial t/a's... definately not too big for a 6.0 in my opinion however tuning was a little bit of a pain

It's a cammed LS1 in a full size TRUCK, not car.
