Default MSD plug wires

Will the MSD plug wires from an LS1/6 fit the 4.8?

The search is being retarded for me.

I say they will but buddy says they won't. lol I'm trying to tell him they are the same damn motor (for the most part) so I guess I need something in writing.

NO, I don't think they will!!!!!! I bought some for my 5.3 and they were too short! The coil pack brackets are differant on the truck so we need longer wires! MSD has a set for us!

I wonder why mine where too short? I went back to JEGS and they gave me a new set with a differant pt# for the trucks and they fit. They were also about 3 to 4 inches longer!

EDIT: LS1 wires are 8" inches long Truck LSx wires are 12" long!

yes, the truck wires are longer. I imagine if you bent both ends, itll work.

There are 2 different pt#s but they should still fit.

Truck wires: MSD 32829, 32823
F-body wires: MSD 32819, 32813

There Were 2 Different Designs For Lsx Motors... One 9.5" One 10.2" Not Enough Difference To Care.... I Work At Gm..

The Difference Is The Bolt Hole Location On The Coil Pack Brackets, Coil Mounting...

I Have Had A Set Of 9.5s That I Put On A 10.2 Motor And It Worked Fine...

If Yours Were Too Short They Were Wrong.

They Could Have Been For A Ford System Which Uses 6" Similar Design Wires
