Default MTI "Hammer" cam too much for 6.0L?

A friend of mine is selling his slightly used MTI C1 Hammer cam (222/222 .566/.566 112 LSA). I know that this cam would be WAY too much for my 4.8, but would it work in a 6.0L with a decent converter? Would this cam require computer programming?

You are going to need tuning, and you will probably need a good converter. You can probably drive it without tuning, but you will be MUCH happier with tuning. That cam should work great with the stock heads, and give LOTS OF POWER. It would even work on a 4.8 with tuning. Have fun, and enjoy the lope.

Where ya been, that's the one I'm plannig on my 4.8 if I keep that block. You will need LS1 edit though. And it still won't give you hat a 6.0 will. I have talked with Jayson @MTI about this cam in my truck. One thing though, you'll need a big stall.

I did a search in the Internal Engine section, but I never thought to search this forum for info. Thanks Greg!
