Yea magnaflow is nice, and they are stainless. Anyone know which muffler would be a direct replacment for a stock muffler? Part number?

I had a local exhaust guy weld in a 3" inlet/outlet 5 by 18 magnaflo. He had to step up the pipe some. Better up than down. I like it.It has a drone on the highway, but the idle and wot sound great and it was cheap.$100.00

Do you get any drone at all?

I used to have the Ultraflo on my old Jeep GC w/ 318 and it had no drone and sounded great. I just don't know how it will compare to the 5.3 though.

I've got an Edelbrock RPM series muffler right now. It sounds awsome at WOT but I get some drone during take off w/ light throttle around 1300-1800 RPMs that bothers me in the mornings.

No drone on my set up - 3" in/out, sounds great and the muffler itself wasn't all that expensive.
