Default Muffler Choices...I want it LOUD!

Well I got a 4.8l 04' Chevy. Put a 40 Series on her from my old truck and its loud...but not loud enough!! What do yall reccommend? I dont care about pwoer in this truck lol. I got a 78' Short bed towork on. Just want it a lil louder lol. So yea just a muffler will do it hehe. I was thinking one of these.

Dynomax Bullets
SLP Loudmouth Muffler
Gibson (mabye heard a clip and its kinda quite lol)
Magnaflow
Bassani

Just cant make a decision Anyone got any sounds clips of 4.8l in action?

Wat are yalls opinions?

thx

i put a slp loudmouth resonator on my 4.8 and it got alot of looks because of how loud it was.
that'd be my vote since I ran one and it sounded very loud with no other mods done to it.

I did have a vidclip of it, but i dont have it anymore.

You want it louder than what a 40 series will provide? Then, you are just asking for Johnny Law to come a calling.

If you want loud, get rid of the cats. Just spend the $100 for the O2 sims and keep the 40 series. It will be 3x as loud then. Almost too loud.

Thats what I did , ditch the muffler and damn it sounds good at WOT. I just wished now I would have left the stock muffler on it and just installed a electric cutout after the y-pipe. LOUD / quiet.....

Ditto! If you don't want that, then I'd probably go with the Borla XR-1 mufflers. Leave your cats on either way, you'd really be asking for trouble with the Law otherwise. I've run my '01 for 4 years that way(no mufflers) and never had any trouble with the police.
