Default Muffler Comparisons....

Just bought a 2002 Yukon 5.3 and wanted some input on your experiences with different muffler setups...I have a C5 coupe with 500rwhp and a corsa exhaust which sounds sick (I wish I could duplicate the sound).....I want a very loud, yet refined sound...here are the choices:

1) Flowmaster 40 or ? series

2) Ravin Z-33

3) Spintech Pro-Street

4) Dynomax bullet street muffler

5) Any other not here?

Please write your experience with how loud, interior resonance, sound quality, etc. Thanks!

Why not go with the Corsa? I have a Magnaflow catback and its perfect for what I wanted. It's not loud, but it does have a nice clean rumble sound even with the stock cam. You'll prob. want louder tho.

Hooker AeroChamber, Idle you can barely notice it, slight drone at cruising speeds, Sounds great at WOT. $60 for the Muffler from Jegs. Then I had local exhaust shop run 3 inch pipe from Y Pipe out factory location. For the price you can't beat it.

I'd recommend the Corsa Sport. It'll be pretty quiet inside (which is what you'd want with an SUV) and loud outside. I love the sound of mine, seems like it's gotten a hair louder in the 4K since I first installed it....no regrets whatsoever.

If you dont mind spending the bucks, i would get a Corsa sport. If you want something a little cheaper go with the magnaflow. You can also get an exhaust shop to do a custom setup with any muffler you want. I think the aerochamber is something like you are lookin for.
