Default Muffler options.

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a muffler to quiet down my truck just a little. The dynomax bullets seem to be the perfect shape and size, but I was told that they do nothing to quiet it down. I was wondering if there were any other mufflers roughly that shape or size that quiet down the exhaust better. If you think I heard wrong about the bullets, please let me know. I was just about to buy them until I heard that. Thanks. Tim

I think this would probably offer you the quietest exhaust while still having excellent flow and decent gain in power.

I think it is a patented design.

I just ditched my hooker aerochamber and put my stock muffler back on with a 3" DMH cutout in front of it. Quiet as hell when I want it and loud as hell when it needs to be.

I am running the same exhaust setup, except mine is into the stock muffler...sounds great. Quiet at idle and cruising, loud when you want it.

The bullets are def loud. I am running a single 4 inch system with a single bullet, its redick..I am adding a magnaflow resonator to my system to quiet it down some and eliminate the horrable crack at part throttle @ 3k..

I think that anything that's as small as bullets is going to be loud, you'll probably need a bigger muffler if you want quiet. The big body Magnaflows sound great, quiet at idle but a nice tight, louder tone when you hit the go pedal.

plus one on the magnaflow. my friend has a cam and just put lpp headers on his truck along with a borla exhaust. it sounded redick. he put the big bog magnaflow on and it sounds puuuurfect. good at idle. and you can hear it go when he smashes it!
