This is true!!!
However In this case though he has a pre 05 engine... Look really close in the pictures and you can see it has the standard 143 rods in it... flat on one side and rounded edge on the other....
BTW the cost to bush the factory rods and up grade the bolts you better off just buying the aftermarkets for 300- 400 depending on the brand you go with...
BTW He is buying new forged pistons. Page 2 post 16.
They require a a 6.125 length rod and use a .927 pin.... so factory rods will not work
BTW That's not directed at you GMCtrk it is Just a general observation I thought I would point out for people asking about a stock rod application...

Searching out a nice set of rod to match, 6.125, .927 pin any suggestion as to the brand?
Anyone have a picture of where the pulley should be pined. I have a full machine shop at my disposal and could figure it out, just looking for a little info before I dive into it. (Machine Shop Pic below)
OH and look what came today....
lightly used intercooled for $2800...I think I did pretty good

I'm actually going to fill in a set of OEM ones, the street scene ones felt like crap to me. I bought them and had to return them b/c I not going to prep and paint some soft piece of rubberish material and then drill in their own self tapper, nope.

The block and pistons have an Apt. with my machine shop on Mon. morning!! A place called Mesa Balancing here in Miami. I've read good things about them and the guy on the phone seems very knowledgeable. They're working on a pair of viper motors for some ridiculous speed boat or the block would have been in there today.
