Default My LQ9 6.0l Build and Swap Thread

Hey all, decided to Swap my Cammed and Bolted 5.3 out of my 99 RCSB in favor of a 6.0

Found a 2006 Silverado 1500 Vmax, with just under 70,000km, run test and top end tested lq9.

So far my parts list goes as follows.

TSP PRC Stage 2.5 243 Heads dual springs
231 234 111lsa tsp tq V.3
Tsp rods
LS7 Lifters
ARP Head Bolts
Ls2 Timing Chain and Gears
FAST lsxrt and 102mm TB

Got a new flt level 7 and a 4000k stall in the works to

I do have a few questions tho

What oil pimp is everyone using? High volume or standard?

I have 8.1L injectors...are they doing to be enough, or should I get Marine 8.1injectors to be safe?

Does anyone make good Locking Manifold bolts?

Should I re-use my ASP underdrive pulley on onto my lq9??

I used a standard unit on mine. Got it from Advanced Auto when they had their 20% off internet deals.
I just re-used my LQ9 exhaust bolts. They have a larger flange on them than the 99 bolts that pop the heads off.

What's wrong with the rods that you have in this motor?
I just did my 99, and in debug mode now. I'll be interested to hear what you use for push rod lengths, and if you have lifter tick from that cam/lifter combo.

won't that lq9 with those heads make for a compression ratio a little on the high side?

only 10.8ish. far from too high.

sounds like a stout setup that you will enjoy driving.

Yup, my old setup was around 11:1 and when tuned right I had no problems running 87. Although that was no fun
