My new Avalanche! 5.3 LS1

Re: My new Avalanche! 5.3 LS1
The wife and I drove one and I have to admit before the test drive I didn't like it. But one test drive and I was truely impressed and so was my wife. We are still looking now but plan on getting something soon, more than likely a Avalanche.

LOL, thats just because you havent seen enough of them, they, like all new cars take a while to warm up to.
I personaly hated the 93 camaro's...I thought they looked like a GEO Storm on steroids... then? One year later I bought one. (go figure)
Then? the 98's came out... Freaking cat-fish car! I screamed. 6 months later? I bought one... go figure.
The plastic cladding on the outside/lower of the "A" is easy to clean and easily replaceable if scratched or hit by thorns, a grocery cart, car doors, kids bikes.. etc. At first I didnt like it either... but the more I'm around these trucks.. the more I see their VERSATILITY.
Truck/SUV, bed storage, foot holds and hand holds, blinker alarm, self dimming mirror, tall tires, HUGE ground clearance, defrosting mirrors, clip for kids on the seat belts, traction control, towing package, rear window defroster, etc. etc. etc, ALL STANDARD!
I could go on and on about all the cool innovative features of the truck... but, it would take too long. Go test drive one. You'll see.
Take care!

Have you done any towing w/ the K&N kit on, and does it make any difference w/ torque, fuel mileage, etc.? I may have to get one.

I couldn't really get a good feel for any MPG gains since my wife drives the truck, but from what I could tell in the times that I drove it, it gained maybe .5 mpg...who knows though...too many variables. It gets about 15-16 mpg usually...
I've towed our boat short distances only, so no mileage report for that. I never towed before the FIPK, so I can't help with that either! I don't see how it could hurt though

I think so too.
I have moved with it, taken the family and freinds out on the town.
It is luxurious, stable, smooth and was a great buy. I could not be happier.
Well if it had the 6.0 motor in it... that would be ALL RIGHT!
