No offense Snake but how are heads gonna knock off .5?? That would be close to 50rwhp to do that. Heads don't give you that much.

F8L, after a large cam install higher compression along with free flowing can give you 50+ HP. Cars with only a T-rex run as good as 11.1s. Cars with much smaller cams and heads run as good as 10.6s. Of course i'm no expert, but i would think its very possible.

Generally speaking unless the car is heavily lightened you wont see low low 11s or high 10s with just heads/cam. It would require high compression, flyweight, huge stall, good DA, etc etc.

The only club member in my club and one of the few on the west coast to run 10s N/A in a regular weight F-bod is Chuck Dawson with an MMS 409ci with S3 heads/cam and runs 10.8s. Another member with some weight removal, 3800stall and TRex and S2 heads runs 11.3s@119mph.

My car with some weight removal and S2+ heads and 223 cam, 4400stall could have went a best of 11.4@117 or so if I ran without a broken spring.

So IMO it is not as easy as one would be led to believe reading these boards. LOTS of people on here dont tell the 100% truth and they are running on the fastest tracks in the US like HRP. Remember when Jantzer and Terry Burger were turing heads running mid 10s N/A? Not many people have seen those cars in person. I have and they look like swiss cheese! LOL

So until someone throws up some crazy #s I will stick with my theory. Unless you live in Texas because i swear to god that cars from there must benifit form some magical pixie dust in the air that makes em run twice as fast as cars from anywhere else.
