I really like the graphics design and colors. What are you thinking for wheels?

The orange is actually a shade shifter... it'll turn lime green in direct sunlight. It's going to be a street rod / drag strip truck so no 20"+ chrome wheels or anything. If they still make them for my bolt pattern (I heard they didn't) then I'll go with pro stars or drag lites 15x7 front 15x12 rear with fat drag radials or slicks I'll most likely have to tub the rear fenders because the 9" rear is more narrow than the 10 bolt.

Here's a quick photoshop of how I want it to look with the wheel/tire setup. This is also a good pic of the orange stripe changing colors at the bottom.

It's been awhile... mainly because I have so many projects and started a business but finally this weekend I'll have the motor in the truck with a fresh coat of Chevy Orange paint and some chrome parts. In the coming weeks I'll have the fuel cell mounted and I'm having new stainless braided fuel lines made. I chose a different direction with the rear end setup which should be the right way. I'm chunking all of the rear suspension and 10 bolt and going with a 4 link / coilover setup welded to the 9" Ford rear & tubbing the rear fenders. That will give me plenty of room to run a really wide (14" maybe?) deep dish pro street wheel / tire combo.

Here's a pic of what I'm going after as far as rear end setup...

Well the motor is out now. I'll clean it up, repaint the block and put it in the truck tomorrow.

did you paint the motor your self? If not how much did it cost to have it painted?

yes I did it myself last night then dropped it in today. i took my time with it and masked off every little thing. still have some more chrome parts coming like valve covers, alternator, pullies, bolts and new air cleaner etc.. i need a new radiator, gas lines, fuel cell mounted & hook up all my msd ignition then i'll be able to crank it up.
