my weiand experiment
first off its a pain in the *** and fun at the same time, just make sure you give yourself 2 days for the swap(friday-saturday) is better lol, more places open.
After removeing stock intake put rags in head ports to keep from getting trash in them as you clean the intake area. In the same pic you can see where the little hose that is connected to the t/b needs to be turned straight up and back to cab about 1/2"to allow room for intake and hose for evap sensor.
the new hose will need to be rerouted from there over by batt. and back to radiator.
the top radiator hose will have to be cut and a new factory hose bought,cut and spliced into the one that is there to make it long enough to reach water pump(1-1/4"O/D and 4"long) pipe is needed. lower left corner of pic.
The water pump snout will need to be cut and a rubber 45* added or turned like I did but it didn't make the room for the cruise control cable. if you decide to do it like mine you will need to use rubber hammer and tap it back and fourth to break it loose, once loose pull it out and clean pump and snout with a fine sand paper, use locktite 609 on snout and tap it back into the water pump with flat head screw driver and hammer(easily).
you will need to make (4) spacers for fuel rails 1-1/2" with a 1/4" hole in the middle of the spacer. you will also need to drill (4) new holes in the fuel rail mounting bracket, and (4) new bolts that are 50mm long maybe 60mm can't remember. or use the 97 vette rails if you have a return style fuel system.
there are (3) holes in the back of the intake(no pics sorry) middle is for map sensor "you will need to buy car map sensor and holding clip" the hole on the left is for the 1/4" barb fitting and that will go to the fuel regulator and will need a 1/4" to 3/8" barb reducer to connect the two together. the one on the right is 1/2" for the brake booster no modification here.
the (2) hole on the front of the intake are for pcv and evap sensor both are 5/16", the one on the left goes back to the PCV, direct fit with 5/16" hose, the one on the right is for the EVAP sensor, you will need a small 3/8" hose about 2 feet of hose and a small 5/16" about 2 feet of hose with a 3/8" to 5/16" barb reducer. You will also need about 10 small hose clamps to keep everything together.
you will also need to buy, find or build a camaro throttle body cable holder bracket.
you will need to cut the bracket where the old Idler was and get a speartech bracket to move the idler pulley down out of the way. I don't have a pic yet of the bracket on the truck, but there here on the web site. It is easier to cut the bracket on the truck then to pull the power steering pump pulley hahahaaa.
if you want to run the short belt at the track and have the ASP pulley the belt that worked for my application is K060675 or 68" long, some have said K060695 or 70" long and it was too long. Good luck with your install and if any ? I haven't answered please feel free to PM me. Thanks for reading.

SOTP meter feels about the same as truck intake, will find out friday night lol.

do you think you can space out the fan alittle or do alittle trimming. sorry for the questions but i want to do the swap but i dont have electrics fans, and i dont want to spend the money to get them i rather spend it on the swap.

nice write up and install. can't wait to see results, I'm looking into an LS1/LS6 type intake.... i've always been told that the truck intakes flow better, but maybe those people are just stupid... anyways, good luck on friday , and thanks for the nice writeup/how to
