Anyone had any luck with something to help quiet down a noisey lifter

switching from 10w30 to 5w30 helped mine a bunch. e

are you sure that the lifter is getting suck . . . and it's not the beginning of a rod bearing?

I've heard of others putting diesel or Marvell's mystery oil in an engine to clean out sticky parts

That stuff is more for oil school engines...

Works good for that.

Not sure how effective it is in new motors..

Good for fuel system!!

I put about a qt of trans fluid in the oil. Works great and has better lubrication than the Marvel.

Rislone additive or straight Castrol GTX 5w-30 works for me.

We need more information. What year is it? What engine is in it? How many miles are on it? Is it a roller or a flat tappet? Have you tried to adjust the rocker arms yet?
