We do many installs in the CO area on GM's. I only use http://www.h-o-alternators.com/alternators.htm (hope the link is ok) as they actually take NEW oem alternators and rebuild everything in them to make them bulletproof. They are a buck or 2 more than wrangler, but very well worth it. Additoinally, for those seriously inclined to large audio systems, they now have a new 18v competition line of alternators. Check them out.

Thx for the links guys. I'll send em to my friend to check out.

He has already done the battery stuff and all that. He's actually and IASCA judge and been doing high end car audio for quite sometime but most of us have ditched the super loud high wattage systems in the last 8yrs and have been out of the loop on good alternators till now. Turns out Stinger now has a new manufacture for theirs also and they are only in the $500-$600 range also.
