Need advice choosing heads for a cammed 6.0L
I recently swapped the stock cam in my truck for a comp 212/218 114 LSA and I love the added power. I picked up 40hp at the wheels and on the dyno I'm at 306 rwhp and 317rwtq. The problem is now I want more power and I dont have the money for a magnacharger. I have been looking at head options and talked to a few people about the issue but I want to get as much information as possible before I make the purchase. Currently I'm looking at the TSP LS6 stage 2.5 heads. I have been told I would see gains in the 30-40 hp range at the wheels. My budget is about 1200 max. Would this be a good setup with the cam I have? Would I need to upgrade anything else such as the injectors or fuel pump? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

You will probably need injectors, I'm suprised you don't already, but your pump will be fine, lt headers would also help down the road after the heads.
I think the LS6 heads will raise your cr a little also, not positive though.

what dyno did you run your truck on ? Also I would buy a nice set of used 243s should bump your compression up to 11:1 and make for nice throttle response and power.

why do you say that, why not l92 top on a lq4

A 6.0L lq4 with 70cc heads on it will only be 9.6:1 compression. This is complete weak sauce. Any performance 6.0L I wouldn't run unless it had a minimum of 10.25:1 compression. With the aluminum heads this is like having only a 9.25:1 compression iron headed engine. Heat=energy. Energy=horsepower. This is why I always wanted to toy with a set of the old iron heads that came on the early 6.0L's. They're cheap, strong, heavy (worst part) and should yield a good amount of power on the cheap.
Back to the L92 setup. Go for it if you're going to get at least 10.25:1 or better. For those who want to argue, I can post graphs of another members stock LQ4 TR224 cammed truck vs my 10.6:1 compression LQ4 with a smaller cam. I'll show you the difference in low-mid range power and even more up top.
