Bottom line PC's love converters, gears and Rpms.. Like said the power comes in harder with the rpms, is not a sudden hit of tq..

So just to get a full understanding, the PC still gives power throughout the entire powerband, but shines at the higher RPMs, and works hand in hand with a good converter. On say a 3k converter, it will not see as good of results as a 3600 or 4k.

The TVS and the Whipple give gobbs of power throughout the full pb, so that would probably be a better choice for the SS being as though it's AWD.

Yes/No/Maybe?

Procharger = more rpms you feed them the more power they make.. TQ is not as huge hit, like a roots style blower.. So if you have a big converter and gears the PC is going to shine.. I can flat out blow the tires off at anything under 50-55 mph..

The roots, do not need big converters or gears to get them moving, but the initial hit of tq will roast the tires also.. They will shine more in the lower rpms, vs the PC..

Here is a half *** vid I got the other day, I am slowing rolling into the throttle. No where near close to WOT..

PC won't really make boost until somewhere between 3000-3400 rpm on most trucks I've driven. That's why your converter would work well with a PC.

Maggie makes boost just off idle. It's common to have over 400 ft lbs of torque at 2000 rpm or less. If you want a grunt motor, go with a Maggie. But don't use a high stall converter, you'll just be wasting energy(torque).

Just gonna point out here that my Maggie doesn't drop off at higher rpm either. It has the bottom end grunt, and the top end pull to back it up. Granted, it wasn't that way out of the box, but it didn't take that much work to get it to where it is now.

Oh, plus I can do 4x4 burnouts.

No port work. Just a 3.0 pulley and some supporting mods with a decent tune(by me, so maybe decent is a stretch...)

But the OP already has a Yank 3200, so I'd point him towards a PC. After that, a cam swap and retune, and lookout!

I'm an advocate & dealer for both brands, so you won't see any hatin' going on by me.

I don't think I am. It is the MP112. Just a 3.0 pulley on my 5.3, with a stock crank pulley. IAT's have never been out of control, but there's always room to improve, right?

With the new exhaust system, I've gone from 11-12 psi to 8-9 psi. I've only gone into boost a couple times while tuning this last weekend, but it seems to get 8 psi in 1st & 2nd gear, and the extra load of 3rd gear gives me 9 psi.

Well keep pushing that beast.. You are one of the few souls left with the 112. Your times are great.. Also the boost drop would scare a bunch of people, but you picked up exhaust velocity, I bet HP also.. In turn who knows how much harder it is going to be to squeeze a few more psi out of it, since the pipes have been opened up.. Just for ref.. I have a 12 or 14lb pulley one mine, see 12lbs at my shifts, a solid 7-8 from when my foot gets into the pedal.. My converter is a Y3200, 410's out the back.. Total difference vs the P1, where I was only seeing 8 lbs at the shifts..
