Do they help with traction, as far as hooking up or just with wheel hop? I'm not getting any wheel hop, but am getting mad wheel spin. Someone shed some light on this for me please.

ive seen truck with slicks doing a burnout and when it grips good, the rear end will start jumping/hopping.

i think the will help plant the rear end more to the ground.

In all honesty, you will need both slicks and the traction bars to help you with the blower!

It is better to do something than to regret not doing it.
Thats how I look at Caltracs. Considering you have alot more power than me Blown is right. I don't regret Buying caltracs at all even if I need them or not between the slicks qa1's and Hotchkis springs.

DEFINATELY cures wheelhop altogether. wheelhop = broken gears and or tranny, ask greysilver. they aren't that traction friendly on the street (especially in the wet) depending on your setup and how tight you have the bars.
