Need engine swap help 04 5.3 to 07 5.3
Can you guys tell me the difference in the 2 engines and what I'll have to do to make the 07 work in my older model truck?

If you're going from the old to new style (would that be GENIII to GENIV?), I *think* you'll need:
Lingenfelter Inverter box (for 58 to 24 tooth reluctor wheel on the crank shaft)
Lengthen harness to cam sensor, assuming that you're using the timing cover and cam sensor from the new motor
Lengthen harness to knock sensors, as they're now on the side of the block instead of in the valley
And I'm not sure what else....
If it's an 07 classic, it's a direct swap
