Top end? Mine ran to 150mph on the dyno in 3rd gear. It shut it down because it said "Max Tire Speed exceeded."

Um yeah...a dyno has no aerodynamic drag either...like wind.

.I am surprised Tom is willing to endorse that snake oil velocity stack,The claim was up to 20+ HP gain? Ya on WTF vehical,i would like to know exactly which vehical they got this on and would they guarrenty 10HP gain on that same vehical. You know they wont

Ok, how did up to 13hp turn into a 20+hp gain?

Gains in the peak numbers will only be about 2, 3 or 4hp. This product helps power in the low - mid RPM range.

Info from VaraRam -
In Truck applications we have seen gains of up to 22+ ft/lbs of tire-shredding torque throughout the power curve where you can use it! As tested in a 2004 Silverado 5.3 V8. In LS1 car applications, gains of up to 13 rear wheel HP have been seen (03 C5 Corvette).

The "tire-shredding torque" statement may be a little optimistic. I have this in one of my 8.1s and actually did see better throttle response and a gas mileage improvement over the last 3 tanks.

VaraRam can be reached at 1-866-507-2648 if anyone wants to discount this with them.

As for top speed, I've seen a little over 130 in my 6800 lb brick

Tom

I'm blind or I couldn't find the FAQ section talking about new truck warranties. I found the 'our promise' http://westers_garage.eidnet.org/promise.htm and a few other good bits of info.

What are the current dyno gains people are seeing on a basically stock 5.3 (with intake)?

I just ordered a UPD - am I correct in understanding that the VR t/b insert will not work with these?

Also, is there an additional 'cold air' mod I can do to the UPD intake for more gains?

Cool, we hit 115 on the GPS going up a steep hill (speedo also read 115 on the nose). Then hit 125 pretty easily (GPS was not on) going slightly downhill.

Speed is cool but speed can KILL! Was doing 95 on the highway the other night (stupidly on bald tires), gave it a little gas on a bend and did a 360 in the middle of the highway and hydroplaned backwards into oncoming traffic before I dove into a ditch. All that was lost was a front tie rod and 2 fog lights. I was extremely lucky. MORAL, go fast-go straight.
